JustListIt version 1.1

A Event Lister software with a lot of features, se below. The Front-End page will display all future events in a list showing the headlines and which can be sorted i 3 different ways by the user. The detailed description of the Event can be viewed after pushing a button and has no limit to the size or amount of text etc.

After the Event has passed todays date it's automatically moved into a second list where it's displayed as long as the setting in the admin is set to display it (0 for not at all) and after that it's automaticall removed from the list. The only thing you as the admin has to do is to add it to the list the rest will the software take care of.

With this software you never has to have old outdated events displayed on your Web Page. Read more about the features in detail below.

Easy to place Front-End
The Customer interface is also what we call the Front-End or Event List. This is what your customer will see and it can placed into any of your exisiting Web Pages by inserting a single line of code (copy and paste).

The only request is that the page it will included into has the ending .php and not .html and the width of the page is minimum 825px. If the page ends with .html you can simply rename it to end with .php, nothing else is needed.

The Front-End has a lot of options for the Customers:

- Pagination based on settings in the admin area, makes it easier to read for the Customer, Standard setting is 20 rows per page.
- The option to sort the List in 3 different ways; By Date and Time, By Category and By the Title A-Z.
- The option to view details about a Event in a separate window, the details can be virtualy limitless in size and include images, flash movies etc.
- The option to ask for a e-mail reminder for a specific Event before it starts.
- The option to submit proposals for Events to the Admin (if this function is enable by you in the admin area)

Admin interface
The software has an easy to use admin interface. Here you can make all the necessary changes to the software as:

- Change the username and password
- Change the admin e-mail address
- Get statistics
- Add a new Event as a single event or recuring event by day or week.
- Edit a Event with pre-filled in fields
- Delete a Event
- Handle proposed Events (if turned on in the settings) with accept, edit, delete or e-mail to the person submitte the proposal for clarifications.
- Settings:
- Business name that will be displayed in the e-mail reminder
- www address to the Front-End page
- Sender e-mail address in the e-mail reminder
- The number of hours before an Event a e-mail reminder will be sent out
- The number of days a Event will be visible in the Past Event List (if set to = No Past Event list will be displayed)
- If the function to propose an Event will be displayed on the Front-End Page
- If the function to propose an Event will have a password request before displayed on the Front-End Page
- The password to access the propose an Event function.
- Full access to the on-line user manual.

Fully customized
The software is based on css style sheet and is easily customized in colours, font types and sizes.

Easy installation
You can choose between manual or automatic installation. An install facility is provided where you only answer a couple of questions and the installer take care of the rest such as installing the database i.e. I you choose manual installation please read the Installation Manual installation file in the documentation directory..

Languages file for easy change
The software is based on languages files, default is American English. All languages files is placed in the language directory and the choice of language is done by changing the prefix (us_en = American English) in the config file. 3 languages as included in the sownload package, American English, Brittish English and Swedish.

If you would like to add a language of your own you only have to copy one of the language files and change the words to your language, save it under your prefix in the language directory and then change the prefix in the config file. You find all this in the Installation manual.

Easy to integrate on existing pages
The Front-Page is easy to integrate into existing pages since it's doesn't include any formatting, tags, styles, i.e. You only need to add one line of code (copy and paste).

Server time adjustment
In the config.php file there is a possiblity to adjust the time for the situation where your Web Server is not located in the same time zone as your business. The clock in the admin area startpage top right corner shows the server time and you can compaer this to your local time and make necessary adjustments.

Protected forms
The Proposed Event form where the customer can submit an Event (if turned on in the admin area) is fully protected against entering code characters into the fields, they will automatically be removed before stored in the database.

Protected Password and Username
The Password and Username for login to the Administration area are stored in the database. The password has md5 encryption.

No Logo and Copyright © signs
The software comes without any logo or copyright signs in the customer interface pages.

Support PHP5, Safe mode = On and Register Globals = Off
The 1.1 version supports the PHP 5 version with Safe mode turned On and Register Globals turned Off.
